Mobile Wall
The piece evolved from participatory design sessions with her two housemates. The final piece is based on a mobile, addressing the quality of a hanging object, creating tension and working with the corner space, shadows and surrealism.
Not wanting anything too literal, the artwork lets your eye wander and leaves you thinking about its meaning. This was the wall in the garden that most needed a mural.
Ellen Rose painted her 'mini project' during the lockdown. During the first course, this project was adapted so students worked with walls in their own homes. We navigated the entire first course in those difficult times
